Small businesses grow with the addition of employees. Planning for and executing the hiring process can be as vital to the business as its core operations. Who is going to do the work? The considerations of how to answer this question need attention, so treat time as the valuable asset it is and plan to attend the free virtual class, “Best Business Practices for Small Businesses on Becoming Employers” via Zoom with presenter Samantha Bond Richman.
This session will cover items such as hiring (e.g., what should the job description include, or not; how should you approach interviewing, and what questions to ask or not; what to do when onboarding new employees). When is someone an independent contractor vs. an employee? Who needs workers’ compensation? Learn about different types of payroll outsourcing and resources for hiring smart while maintaining compliance with employer responsibilities.
Presenter Samantha Bond Richman keeps the material light with real world experiences gathered from working with small businesses and professional employer organization (PEO) service providers for over thirty years.
